Whether you are looking for parking near a tourist attraction, a sports event, or for airport parking, there are several factors to consider in making your choice as to which car park operator to choose. Most importantly you want to get the cheapest price, but also to know that your car is safe and secure. For airport parking you will especially want to know that the car park is regularly patrolled while you are on your trip. A third consideration will be how near to your location the car park is situated. Most car parks at UK airports are within 15 minutes of the main terminal and offer shuttle bus services.

The British Parking Association has a PassMark scheme for accrediting car parks that reach certain standards. Local police forces also give certification to car parks in their area. Using an NCP is a reliable way to park your car, but other alternatives can be just as good.
When considering airport car parking you will also need to consider how you will get from the car park to the airport. Most car parks offer a coach service but you will need to check the transfer time and frequency.
Booking in advance will usually secure a cheaper price than if you turn up on the day.
