Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament remain two of the most visited sites in London. The area can become very congested, so any trip there should be planned well in advanced. Also note that this is in a congestion charging zone.
Parking in the Westminster area is extremely limited in terms of both car parks and street parking. Crime is high in this area, so the only nearby secure car park, Abingdon, is highly recommended as it holds a parkmark security badge and is manned full time. Booking well in advance is essential as there are only 200 spaces available at this car park. As before, this car park and the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben are within the congestion charging zone. Illegally parked cars face large fines and possible towing.
