Spectators attending the Millenium Stadium are often advised to use the numerous park and ride schemes located outside the city centre. These are signposted from Motorways and major routes approaching Cardiff. There are however a number of privately run car parks nearer to the stadium.
Street parking near the Millenium Stadium is near impossible and the roads in the immediate vicinity of the stadium are pedestrianised from a few hours before the commencement of the event. Illegally parked vehicles close to the Millenium Stadium are towed away. During Six Nations matches, international football matches and concerts, it is strongly advised that you pre-book parking spaces, as they can become very full prior to games.
Taking quotes from different parking companies around the Cardiff area is recommended in order to find the cheapest price. There are a number of NCPs in Cardiff city centre and around the stadium, which can offer a cheap but secure means of parking your car. The closest NCP to the stadium is at Cardiff Central station and also on Wood Street, both a five to ten minute walk from the ground.
